Summary
This time, the terror has followed you home.
In this last chapter of the Five Nights at Freddy's original story, you must once again defend yourself against Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and even worse things that lurk in the shadows. Playing as a child whose role is yet unknown, you must safeguard yourself until 6am by watching the doors, as well as warding off unwanted creatures that may venture into your closet or onto the bed behind you.
You have only a flashlight to protect yourself. It will scare away things that may be creeping at the far end of the hallways, but be careful, and listen. If something has crept too close, then shining lights in its eyes will be your end.

Storyline
Departing from the security-office setting of earlier entries, this chapter of the horror series places the player in the shoes of a frightened young child, alone in his bedroom through the dead of night. From midnight until six in the morning, he must survive against nightmarish, hallucinatory versions of the animatronic characters, twisted monsters that stalk him in the dark. With no bank of security cameras to rely on, the boy must strain to listen for faint audio cues, darting between his bed, his closet, and the two doors of his room to hold the creatures at bay. Between the harrowing nights, unsettling minigames reveal the story of the boy in 1983, a child tormented by a deep fear of the animatronics at a family restaurant near his home, and by the cruelty of those around him.
